Melanie Struzzi Sutton , PT, DPT, MHS, WCS, CLT, CAPP-PelvicCarePartners/Mission Health System
I specialize in working with people who have pelvic health issues. Many come with a referral for one issue, such as bladder leakage, and on discussion reveal they also have constipation and/or pelvic pain which they are happy to hear can also be successfully addressed within the course of treatment. I work with a multidisciplinary team to address any and all issues across the spectrum of bladder, bowel, sexual health, and pain to identify contributing factors and work toward optimal function and quality of life. I often see clients who have had pain for years and seen multiple physicians, have been told there is nothing that can be done, and who feel that they have no hope for improvement. Those are the most rewarding cases, as there is usually relief when the pelvic floor is thoroughly explored and appropriate intervention provided. I particularly enjoy working with complex cases, pelvic pain, and life cycle stages, as well as being involved in providing education to clients, colleagues, and students.
Additional HighlightsWe are fortunate at CarePartners to be able to have an hour blocked for one to one treatment time with our pelvic and oncology patients which is longer than many outpatient rehab settings, and we are able to maintain more continuity of care than is often seen without rotating between therapists. This and the quality of service are the positive feedback we most often hear from clients who are highly satisfied with their care.
