About
I relocated to Chicagoland to join the Kirk Center for Healthy Living in July 2016 to focus my practice on pelvic and abdominal conditions and visceral manipulation manual physical therapy techniques. I treat cis, trans, and gender non-conforming people with abdominal and pelvic pain, bladder or bowel dysfunction, or any condition that hasn't been helped by "traditional" exercise-based physical therapy. I specialize in visceral manipulation and my favorite patients to treat are men with urinary incontinence and/or erectile dysfunction after prostatectomy. We have also been having great success closing diastasis recti (DRA) within a few visits using the visceral manipulation techniques. (For information on the manual technique we use to close DRA, visit http://kc4hl.com/DRA.asp. For more information on visceral manipulation in general, visit https://www.barralinstitute.com/therapies/ ) I am constantly pursing continuing education through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, The Barral Institute, American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), STOTT Pilates, and Healing Beyond Borders. I am excited to start on my newest journey to become a certified qigong instructor. I am also an Advanced Student Practitioner of Healing Touch, a biofield therapy that is a collection of standardized, noninvasive techniques that clear, energize, and balance the human and environmental energy fields to support one's inherent ability to heal.
