Raquel K. Perlis, B.S., P.T., was one of the first Boston-area physical therapists to embrace women’s health physical therapy and pelvic floor physical therapy. She launched her physical therapy practice in 1990 and began specializing in women’s health in 1993. Since then, she has treated thousands of women and has lectured on pelvic floor physical therapy at hospitals, schools, and other facilities. Raquel holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Chile and Boston University, and she received a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy from the Women’s Health Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew, Raquel is prized by her patients for her warmth, openness, and multicultural understanding. She was a founding board member of Vulvodynia Matters, and she’s a member of the APTA, the Women’s Health Section of the APTA, and the National Vulvodynia Association.

Additional Highlights

We provide a professional, safe, and caring environment for women seeking help. We are able to spend up to an hour with each patient which allows us to give our patients the individual attention they need to be successful in their rehabilitation.

Insurance and Payment Info

Raquel K Perlis Physical Therapy is an out-of-network, fee-for-service practice. This arrangement gives Raquel the freedom and flexibility to treat every patient for a full 50 to 60 minutes, without any time or treatment restrictions imposed by insurance companies. Most insurance plans with out-of-network benefits reimburse members for their out-of-pocket payments to us. We're happy to provide receipts and statements noting procedure codes, which can be submitted for reimbursement to your insurance company, health care savings account (HSA), or flexible spending account (FSA). Payment is due at time of service. We accept cash, personal checks and most credit cards.
