About
Melissa Wong has a passion for all things pelvic health. She has a Masters of Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University and a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Waterloo. She completed extensive post-graduate training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation and treats everyone with a pelvis! She treats both adult and pediatric populations, and treats women, men, and children for a variety of issues including incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pre and post surgery, bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, pain with intercourse, and pregnancy and post-partum. She is trained to fit and manage pessaries and works closely with medical professionals. Melissa is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), the CPA’s Orthopedic, Pediatric, and Women’s Health divisions, as well as a member of the International Children’s Continence Society. She is the lead physiotherapist at Markham Pelvic Health, York Region's first and only multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to offering comprehensive pelvic health care in York Region. Whether treating adults, adolescents, or children, Melissa is dedicated to delivering high quality patient care and education. Her professional, compassionate nature allows her to work collaboratively with her clients to ensure positive outcomes and empowerment. When not in the clinic, Melissa enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
