Maria is passionate about maternal health and wellness, and is focused on mothers in any stage of motherhood. Maria believes core strength and awareness is beneficial for the woman who is trying to get pregnant, who is pregnant, who is newly postpartum, and who is beyond postpartum. Our daily habits, lifestyle, and movement patterns have an effect on core stability and pelvic floor health–and in relation to women’s health–Maria uses a specialized modality that goes beyond spot-treating, such as Kegels and crunches, and instead uses the whole body’s capacity to address core-related issues. Women who have experienced a range of issues will benefit from taking a Restore Your Core class series or private sessions with Maria, namely women with diastasis recti, prolapse, incontinence, core weakness, tight hips, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and scoliosis.
