About
Jaclyn is an orthopaedic/pelvic health physiotherapist who is passionate about all things pelvic health. She graduated from Dalhousie University in 2009 with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy. Post-graduate training includes advanced manual therapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and certified acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. With a strong background in sports injuries, she holds a special interest in treating chronic/persistent hip and low back pain as well as incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse in athletic populations. Other areas of interest include diastasis rectus abdominus and pelvic pain conditions including pudendal neuralgia. Jaclyn loves working out of Rebirth Wellness Centre with a multidisciplinary, holistic health team that focuses primarily on prenatal and postnatal care. She enjoys helping women return to sport and fitness after birth. Her approach to care values the complex nature of pelvic health conditions, appreciating the role that social, psychological and emotional factors as well as experiences of trauma can have on the development and recovery of these conditions.
