Heather Howard, PhD, MPH, is an AASECT-certified sexuality counselor and educator with clinical concentrations in pelvic, sexual, and chronic pain. In her clinical practice, she helps individuals and couples (in person and over video chat) to meet their sexual goals. She is also a professor of human sexuality for the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS); a CE provider for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT); and a board member and fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH). Her research areas of interest are the intersections of sexuality with pelvic pain, with trauma, and with female genital cutting. In addition to her work as a clinician, educator and researcher, Heather has created a series of Ergoerotics® educational videos to help patients with chronic health conditions to find comfortable pleasure, as well as a video library of ergonomic sexual positions to assist health care providers with making clinical recommendations to patients. Those are available at www.ergoerotics.com, a website that partners with health care providers to provide products dedicated to sexual comfort.
