Dr. Robyn Wilhelm, PT, DPT, "The PT Mom Doc," has over 19 years of experience as a Physical Therapist. She specializes in perinatal (pregnancy & postpartum) and core & pelvic health Physical Therapy. She is passionate about whole-body health and inclusion of physical therapy for ALL mothers postpartum. Robyn holds an understanding and empathy of the emotional stress that often accompanies pain, dysfunction and a body that feels less optimal than one desires. Robyn continually studies and learns new techniques and current information to help expand her education approach for each client. She evaluates and treats patients with various women's health related conditions and core & pelvic floor conditions. She believes that postpartum physical therapy care should be part of healthcare for every woman following birth. Her goals are to: 1) identify the cause(s) of your problem and provide education, treatment and a home care plan to help you attain better health and well-being and/or optimal function and performance in life and sport 2) provide convenient, online education to all birthing persons and postpartum moms to help optimize appropriate healing and encourage optimal core & pelvic health. Dr. Robyn earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2002 from The University of Findlay and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2009 from A.T. Still University. She earned a certificate in Massage Therapy, as well as completed certification training with Wendy Powell, founder of the MuTu System. Dr. Robyn is currently working on completion of a Women's Health Coach certification. Dr. Robyn has also been a faculty member in both Physical Therapist Assistant and Physical Therapist education with a combined 11 years experience, and she currently serves as a PTA Program Director in Arizona. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Women's Health Section of the APTA.
