About

Dr. Christine Pieton is a physical therapist and pilates instructor who specializes in women's health, female pelvic floor conditions, general orthopedic and sport specific rehab. Christine is also a running coach and is a postpartum return-to-run expert. Christine’s treatment philosophy involves a holistic approach, addressing her patient’s primary complaints, while also evaluating how such injuries impact the whole body’s ability to move efficiently. The human body is designed to work together as an integrated system. Thus, Christine believes therapeutic interventions need to be addressed as such in order to achieve optimal movement patterns long term and decrease risk for injury. Christine also employs a team-style approach to treatment with her clients. Being and feeling well go beyond one’s physical health. Mental and nutritional health impact our physical health and the body’s ability to recovery from injuries. There are talented local practitioners (acupuncturists, massage therapists, psychologists and/or nutritional counselors) that Christine refers to, when needed, in order to help her clients reach their full health and wellness potential.

Christine was extremely helpful and knowledgable in treating my pelvic floor dysfunction. I had surgery for endometriosis, and with the disease came several issues in my pelvis, including a painful bladder, pain with sex, and extremely tight surrounding muscles (hip flexors, inner thighs). Chris was able to quickly and effectively diagnose my sources of discomfort, and work with me to resolve my issues. She made the experience safe and comfortable, enjoyable even. After five months of visits and exercises, I am pain-free!
