About

Dr. Alessandra Goodfellow, physical therapist and owner of Pelvic Wellness Physical Therapy, received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and bachelors of science in Exercise Science from the University at Buffalo. Shortly after graduating she moved to Arizona where her focus was on orthopedic and neurological conditions. This ultimately lead her to her passion of pelvic health, when her patients would report improvement with bladder function when the focus of care was on their other conditions. After spending time researching pelvic health she felt that this area of care is underserved and very needed to improve the lives of so many people. Alessandra feels that this is the area of care she could dedicate her career to specialize in and treat complex patients. With over 16 years of experience Alessandra has completed advanced evidence based specialized training to help her patients achieve their goals. Alessandra treats a variety of conditions of all genders related to the pelvic floor including and not limited to low back pain, thoracic back pain, sacroiliac joint pain (SIJ), pelvic pain, abdominal pain, hip pain and dysfunction, urinary and fecal incontinence, over active bladder, Dyspareunia (pain with intercourse), prolapse, diastasis recti, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, infertility, prenatal and postpartum conditions, chronic prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), post surgical pain and dysfunction. Alessandra finds that all treatments need to be individualized to the patient to meet their needs and to help improve their function and quality of life and may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, visceral mobilization of fascia, myofascial cupping, instrument assisted manual therapy (IASTM), intramuscular dry needling, neurological re-education, and biofeedback.
