April Patterson , PT, MSPTWhole Body Physical Therapy, PC
April is the founder/owner of Whole body Physical Therapy. April evaluates and treats a wide range of pelvic health and orthopedic diagnoses and conditions utilizing a whole body approach to examination and treatment. Whether you have pelvic floor dysfunction contributing to chronic pelvic pain, hip or back pain, unwanted or painful arousal, PGAD, sexual dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse; are pre-or post-partum, or have orthopedic and sports injuries, April is here to help you on your journey to feeling whole, reaching your goals and returning to function. April has over 16 years experience as a physical therapist. She has also been a patient. As a previous Division 1 soccer player, avid runner and competitive figure skater, she sustained numerous sports-related injuries and could relate to her athletic and orthopedic patients undergoing the physical therapy rehabilitative process. Originally, her PT practice focused on Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2008. During this time, she sought out treatment for her own chronic pelvic, hip and back pain through pelvic floor physical therapists and other skilled practitioners, with a comprehensive, conservative and holistic approach. After giving birth to her second child, she shifted her practice focus to passionately pursue specialized training in pelvic floor physical therapy, myofascial, visceral, and neural mobilization manual therapy techniques. She found these treatment techniques to be vital to her own healing process and return to full function, and wanted to provide this expertise to her patients. April combines her pelvic and orthopedic physical therapy knowledge, skills, experience and advanced training to evaluate and treat the whole body, utilizing a combination of manual therapy, education, and specific corrective exercise.
