Here’s your chance to test your knowledge of the pelvic region. Can you identify these basic structures? Ever wonder what the pelvic region really looks like? It’s interesting to see the pelvic organs and muscles in a Pelvic MRI view (answers below- no cheating!)

    Please could you tell us what angle we are looking from. I think we’re looking at the uterus from above and behind?

    Linda- great question. It’s actually a cross-section, as if you are looking at a woman from the above and in front. The top part of the screen would be the abdominals and the lowest part is the vagina. It’s only showing the front, so you can’t see the rectum or anal canal. Does this make sense?

    I got femur wrong – because i was more specific and said femoral neck/greater trochanter.
