Medical Students Learning Pelvic Exams with Simulators?
This blog article touches on the “trend in medical schools to use ‘simulators’ and mannequins, rather than model patients, to teach students.” Do you think that this is a disservice to medical students? Pelvic Guru says YES! Did you know that in Pelvic Physical Therapy specialized courses, each therapist has to practice all internal and external pelvic tests and treatments on each other (or they have to bring another person to model)?
